Description

Fabric dye is the colored substance that enable fibers and materials to be colored. It bonds chemically to the material that it is applied to. This makes fabric dyes different from pigments as pigments don't chemically bond to the material that they color.

Instructions

  • Step 1Pre-wash Fabric ( use Colour Remover to remove any marks, spots, oil and dirt - this creates a even slate for your dyeing)
  • Step 2: Fill container with 3 liters of warm tap water ( works best at 40'C-50'C)
  • Step 3Add dye mix to the water, stir to dissolve mixture
  • Step 4Add fabric to dye bath and stir for 10min ( the more you stir fabric the more the colour will be)
  • Step 5: Move fabric to one side. Add Dye Fixer and stir thoroughly
  • Step 6Continue to stir fabric for 15min to 30min (depending on the depth of shade)
  • Step 7: Drain dye, rinse fabric and wash out excess dye using cold running water, then wash in warm water with detergent
