Item Collection Policy

At MHC World, we strive to provide excellent customer service and ensure a smooth shopping experience for all our valued customers. To optimize our operations and manage warehouse costs effectively, we have implemented a new policy for customers who purchase items to collect later. This policy outlines the terms and conditions regarding the collection of items after purchase.

1. Item Reservation and Collection Period:
   • Customers who choose to purchase an item and collect it at a later date must sign and acknowledge this policy during the purchase process.
   • We will reserve the item for a maximum period of 7 (SEVEN) days from the date of purchase.
   • During this 7-day period, no additional fees will be charged for the storage of the item.

2. Extended Storage and Tariff Charges:
   • If a customer fails to collect the item within the initial 7-day period, a daily tariff will be applicable for each subsequent day the item remains in our storage.
   • The daily tariff for extended storage will be R50.00 (FIFTY RAND) excluding VAT, per day.
   • Additionally, an administrative fee of R170.00 (HUNDRED AND SEVENTY RAND) excluding VAT will be charged once the 7-day period has expired.

3. Collection Procedure:

3.1   Customers must provide proof of purchase and valid identification when collecting the reserved item.

3.2   Our store operating hours and collection location will be provided during the purchase process.

3.3   It is the customer's responsibility to arrange for timely collection within the specified period to avoid additional charges.

4. Notice of Extended Storage and Charges:

4.1   We will make reasonable attempts to notify customers via the contact information provided at the time of purchase before the expiration of the 7-day collection period.

4.2   We will inform customers about the daily tariff and administrative fee that will be applicable after the 7-day period has expired.

5.  Expiry of Storage Period:

5.1   If the item remains uncollected for a continuous period of 30 days from the purchase date, we reserve the right to cancel the purchase and refund the customer, excluding any applicable storage charges and administrative fees.
